Chairman of PCB intends to provide upto $250,000 to foreign players making PSL a huge success

Ramiz Raja, chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), was eager to welcome overseas players with X-factor into the Pakistan Super League (PSL) by offering them more lucrative contracts to represent the teams of their choice.

The PCB chairman is scheduled to meet with franchise owners today (Friday) to discuss various difficulties affecting the PSL, with the primary goal of making the event more adaptable and appealing to leading foreign players.

‘The News’ has learned that there is a suggestion for a foreign cricketer with star appeal to be compensated roughly $250,000 for a season’s engagement with the PSL franchises. The greatest of the lot currently fetches roughly $160,000.

“Ramiz is scheduled to meet with club owners on Friday to address several topics connected to the league, namely how to make it more robust, eye-catching, and star-studded. One of the key agenda items is to offer more lucrative contracts to the game’s superstars. Some of the league’s biggest talents might make a quarter-million dollars if they play in the PSL from 2022 onwards. Though some significant players are already expected to join the league, the new package is likely to entice even greater talents from across the world to make a genuine effort to participate in the league.”
