By introducing innovative vehicle technologies and testing them on Pakistani roads, Master Changan Motors is aiming to bring Pakistan towards the future of transportation. It wants to introduce robotics in driving similar to Tesla cars. The company is believed to be testing self-parking and to some extent the self-driving in its vehicles.
Danial Malik, CEO of Changan motors in an interview established that Changan motors is manufacturing its vehicle in regard to what people need. This has been the key to their success which flows through employees, goods, factories, offices, and everything they do.
“The future is here; it is simply not equitably distributed,” said Danial Malik. He further added that Changan Pakistan will be bringing the future to Pakistan by localizing self-driving vehicles.
He added, ‘’Changan Auto is China’s market leader in sophisticated mobility technology, and we see no reason why we shouldn’t bring them to Pakistan. By introducing the finest in global autonomous technology to Pakistan, we hope to create a safer tomorrow. “
It will be interesting to see how Changan motors counter this endeavor. Given the abysmal road infrastructure in less developed areas of Pakistan, self-driving cars would surely be a massive challenge for the company. It is also important to note that majority of masses do not follow traffic rules which makes it equally dangerous to rely on robotics.
