Chicken Meat Prices Breaks All Record in Pakistan, Reached Rs. 705 Per Kg

On Thursday, one kilogram of chicken (meat) was sold for between Rs700 and Rs705 at various retail stores, breaking the Rs700 price barrier and setting a record for the item in the twin cities.

On the other hand, poultry growers assert that because more than 50% of farms have been shut down, people are not only experiencing the worst chicken shortage but also extremely high costs.

People from all walks of life protested vehemently against rising chicken costs and urged the government to take quick action to reduce them.

Farmers claim that if the feed problem continues, chicken raising may cease entirely very soon, which would drive up prices even more.
