China Resumes 15-day Visa-Free Entry for These Two Countries

China has announced to resume its 15-day visa-free entry for Singapore and Brunei from 26th July. The initiative has been taken as Beijing continues allowing traveling after a strict restriction mechanism during the pandemic.

The China embassy stated to Singapore that their citizens can enter China without a visa for 15 days for tourism, transit, family visits, or business. In addition, the visas issued to Singaporean citizens will still be valid and those requested will be processed.

Lee Hsien Loong, Prime Minister of Singapore met Chinese President Xi Jinping in Beijing in March. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Singapore stated that visa-free entry will foster business flows between the countries and foster bilateral cooperation.
