Chinese Prime Minister Li Qiang Honored with 21-Gun Salute

Chinese Prime Minister Li Qiang arrived in Pakistan for the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) meeting and received a warm welcome at Noor Khan Air Base. His arrival was marked by a 21-gun salute and a formal guard of honor. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, along with senior officials, greeted him. As a gesture of hospitality, children presented flowers to Li Qiang upon his arrival.

During his visit, Li Qiang will hold important discussions with Pakistani leadership, including a meeting with President Asif Ali Zardari. He is also scheduled to virtually inaugurate the Gwadar International Airport, a significant project under the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).

Li Qiang expressed his happiness about attending the SCO summit and emphasized the deep and lasting friendship between China and Pakistan. He highlighted that the two nations share a long history of cooperation, mutual respect, and support on various global and regional matters. The visit is expected to strengthen ties and boost collaboration on several key projects, further enhancing the strategic partnership between China and Pakistan.
