Indian authorities have launched an investigation into a major cybersecurity incident involving Tata Electronics after a ransomware group allegedly leaked confidential company data that reportedly included information related to Apple’s unreleased iPhone 18 Pro.
According to reports, the leaked material appeared on the dark web and allegedly contained supplier lists, component specifications, internal documents, and images associated with the upcoming smartphone.
The reported breach has drawn significant attention due to Apple’s highly secure and closely managed global supply chain.
India’s Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-In) is assisting in the investigation to determine the extent of the incident, identify how the attackers gained access, and assess the potential impact on affected systems and business operations.
