Maryam Nawaz has instructed administrative and police officers across Punjab to remain in the field during Eidul Azha instead of working from offices. The decision aims to ensure close monitoring of security, cleanliness, and public services during the holidays.
Officials have been directed to stay active in different areas to respond quickly to public issues and maintain smooth arrangements throughout Eid.
The Punjab government has also announced a fine of Rs. 50,000 for people who improperly dispose of animal waste or remains in streets, drains, canals, or other public places.
Authorities say the measure is intended to improve cleanliness, protect public health, and reduce environmental pollution during Eid, when large amounts of animal waste are generated.
Instructions have also been issued to strictly enforce designated cattle markets and stop illegal livestock trading in unauthorized locations.
Officials have been asked to ensure uninterrupted civic services, including water supply and sanitation operations, during the holiday period. Special attention is also being given to security measures, monitoring systems, and maintaining law and order across the province.
Authorities stated that cyber monitoring arrangements will remain active to identify and respond to potential threats or misinformation. The government says all departments must remain alert and fully prepared to handle emergencies or public complaints.
Strict action has been warned against officers or departments showing negligence in performing their responsibilities during Eid.
The latest directives reflect efforts to maintain public convenience, improve cleanliness, and strengthen security arrangements during one of the busiest religious occasions of the year.
Officials believe stronger monitoring and field presence can help reduce problems and improve overall management throughout the Eid holidays across Punjab.
