Chief of Army Staff General Syed Asim Munir, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, along with federal and provincial ministers and senior government officials, visited the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC)’s Green Corporate Initiative on Friday.
During the visit, Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz formally inaugurated three major agricultural projects: the Smart Agri Farm, Green Agri Malls, and the Agri Research Facility. Several officials from the agricultural sector were also present at the event, where they were given a detailed briefing on the advanced farming machinery being introduced to improve agricultural productivity.
The Green Corporate Initiative aims to support farmers by providing them with access to modern, high-tech farming equipment through affordable leasing options. This will help farmers enhance their crop yields, reduce manual labor, and adopt more efficient farming methods.
As part of this initiative, 25 Green Agri Malls have already been established in Punjab. These malls serve as one-stop centers where farmers can find advanced machinery, tools, and resources to boost their agricultural output. The government has ambitious plans to expand this network further, with a target of setting up 250 more Green Agri Malls across the country by the end of the year.
This initiative is expected to bring significant improvements to the agricultural sector, making farming more technology-driven, efficient, and profitable for farmers across Pakistan.
