On Sunday, the Chief of Army Staff, General Asim Munir, expressed his sincere condolences to the President of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, after the passing of his brother, Sheikh Saeed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
The UAE Embassy in Pakistan confirmed the meeting and mentioned that General Syed Asim Munir visited Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. The UAE President kindly received the Pakistan army chief and appreciated his sympathetic gesture.
Before General Munir’s visit, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also went to the UAE to offer his condolences to President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan on the loss of his brother. This shows the strong bond and compassion between Pakistan and the UAE, as high-ranking officials from Pakistan extended their support during this difficult time.
