In a recent interview with legendary cricketer Inzamam ul Haq, Pakistan skipper and national squad captain Babar Azam discussed some of the hurdles he experienced early in his career.
Babar recalled an event in which he needed sports shoes for practise when he was picked for under 15 cricket.
“I asked my cousin if he could lend me a pair of joggers if he had any, but he refused, stating he didn’t have any,” Babar explained.
He admitted that, while his disappointment was genuine, it was the realisation that he shouldn’t have asked for the favour that touched him the most.
