Karachi city traffic police has launched the aggressive crackdown against the utilization of pressure horns and therefore the fancy number plates. It’s reported that police has captured about 2400 pressure horns and 2000 fancy number plates 15 days after launching of this campaign. the govt of Sindh has accorded the approval of this Karachi Traffic Police Crackdown against Pressure Horns & Fancy Number Plates.
The local department has started taking action against the motorists amid the operation and therefore the sources said that the majority of those pressure horns were under use of the buses and rickshaw drivers. Most of the motorcycles and passenger cars use the flamboyant number plates and it’s reported about 12000 challans are issued to the users.
DIG Police announced this campaign during the month of December 2020 on the orders of Sindh supreme court and therefore the notice was issued to the general public by giving the knowledge of the utilization of pressure horns and unauthorized number plates, tinted glass, fancy number plates, revolving lights, bar lights and unauthorized siren, which are banned in Karachi. The respective department gave the deadline to the general public to get rid of this stuff from their vehicles before 04 January 2021 and then the authorities have taken the action against the violators.
