Pakistan’s automotive industry is undergoing a notable transformation in recent years, with a discernible shift toward eco-friendly electric vehicles (EVs) reflecting a broader global trend. Several companies are embracing this change by introducing affordable electric bikes to cater to the burgeoning market of eco-conscious consumers. Among these innovators, the Crown Group, in collaboration with Chinese partners Dongjin and Benling Groups, has unveiled two electric bike models – the “Benling E-Scooty” and the “Benling E-Bike.”
These electric bikes were showcased at the Pakistan Auto Show (PAPS) 2023 in Karachi, underlining the industry’s commitment to sustainability and cleaner energy options. One particularly notable feature of these offerings is the inclusion of an 18-month warranty covering both the motor and the battery, a move designed to instill confidence in consumers and promote the adoption of electric bikes.
The Benling E-Scooty comes in three variants, each offering distinct mileage ranges, which provides consumers with choices suited to their specific needs. This move not only signifies Pakistan’s response to the global demand for greener transportation options but also aligns with the country’s commitment to reduce its carbon footprint and promote sustainable practices within the automotive sector. As electric vehicles become more accessible and diverse in Pakistan, they are likely to contribute to a cleaner and more sustainable future for the nation’s transportation landscape.
