Dental Clinic of Former President Arif Alvi Sealed in Karachi

Former President Dr. Arif Alvi’s dental clinic in Karachi has been sealed due to regulatory issues. The Sindh Building Control Authority (SBCA) took action after the clinic, which was operating out of a residential bungalow, failed to meet the required regulations even after being served with a notice.

The sealing of the clinic was supervised by Assistant Director Shakeel Jamali. The SBCA made it clear that the clinic had been using the residential property for commercial purposes without proper permissions, which led to this decision.

Dr. Arif Alvi, who served as Pakistan’s 13th President from September 9, 2018, to March 10, 2024, is a well-known dentist. However, his clinic’s operations did not comply with local building and zoning regulations, resulting in the sealing order.

The action taken by the Sindh Building Control Authority shows their intention to ensure that all businesses follow the rules and maintain the correct use of residential and commercial properties.

This case serves as an example that even high-profile individuals must adhere to local regulations. Further updates on the status of Dr. Alvi’s clinic will depend on how the regulatory issues are addressed in the coming days.
