Double-Decker Bus Service to Be Launched in Islamabad to Promote Tourism

Islamabad is getting ready to launch a Sightseeing Double-Decker Bus Service to promote tourism, announced Aftab ur Rehman Rana, Managing Director of the Pakistan Tourism Development Corporation (PTDC).

The service, planned to start in January 2025, is a joint effort between PTDC and the Tourism Development Corporation of Punjab (TDCP). It will provide guided tours of Islamabad’s main attractions every day, with convenient pick-up and drop-off points at major hotels in the city.

In the next phase, the service will expand to include weekend tours to popular tourist spots near Islamabad, such as Taxila, Murree, and Khewra.

This new initiative is designed to boost Islamabad’s image as a top tourist destination. It also focuses on eco-friendly practices, aiming to provide a sustainable way for tourists to explore the city and its surroundings.

With this service, visitors will have an easy and enjoyable way to discover the beauty and history of Islamabad while supporting local tourism efforts.
