According to reports, tragic events have resulted in the loss of life for at least three Pakistani students, while hundreds more have been injured in what seems to be a deliberate attack by violent groups during a clash between local residents and Egyptian students in Kyrgyzstan’s capital city, Bishkek.
International media sources have indicated that law enforcement personnel were deployed overnight in various parts of Bishkek as large crowds gathered to protest an alleged altercation involving locals and foreigners.
Amid the chaotic confrontations, Pakistani students have also been targeted, with Barrister Saif, Advisor for Information in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, confirming the deaths of three Pakistani students.
Students residing in the Central Asian country have recounted incidents of attacks on Pakistani student hostels, resulting in numerous injuries.
