Elon Musk Replaces Twitter’s Blue Bird Logo with “Doge” Meme

Twitter CEO Elon Musk has switched up the platform’s recognizable bluebird emblem with the “doge” meme associated with the cryptocurrency Doge coin. Just the site version of Twitter, not the Twitter app, displays the new logo. Elon Musk himself has confirmed the modification to the Doge logo.

Within minutes of the new logo being introduced, the price of Doge coin increased by more than 30%. The price of DOGE was approximately $0.077 prior to the alteration, but after the new logo, it increased to as much as $0.1046. Often praising DOGE, Elon Musk has asserted that the meme coin may provide superior payment capabilities to bitcoin.

The Financial Times reported in January that Twitter was developing a system to enable payments on the social media site. Musk sought the possibility to integrate cryptocurrencies, even though he intended Twitter to be “first and foremost” for fiat currencies.

Elon Musk posted a meme on Twitter with a cartoon image as the first reaction of the public to the logo.
