Elon Musk’s X/Twitter is Letting Paying Users Hide Their Blue Ticks

X/Twitter is now allowing paid users to hide their blue ticks, acquiring which was the most sought-after feature that required an application. However, the process has changed as Elon Musk took over and introduced a controversial move, making users pay $8 for verification, which led to the feature becoming a subject of memes.

To address the issue, Twitter has now introduced a previously leaked feature for paid subscribers which allows them to hide their verification badge from other users. As a subscriber, users can choose to willingly hide the blue-colored checkmark on their account, though it may still appear in certain places. In addition, some features may be limited while the checkmark is hidden.

The option is available for Twitter Blue subscribers in their Account settings.
