Through a Memorandum of Cooperation (MoC) inked with the Tourism Authority of Thailand, Emirates has offered its support for tourism promotion in Thailand (TAT).
Under the terms of the agreement, both the tourism body and Emirates will investigate collaborative initiatives and prospects for partnership that will strengthen each party’s marketing and promotional efforts to attract visitors to Thailand.
In the presence of HH Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Emirates Group Chairman, and HE Phiphat Ratchakitprakarn, Thailand’s Minister of Tourism and Sports, the MoC was signed by Orhan Abbas, Senior Vice President of Commercial Operations – Far East, and Chattan Kunjara Na Ayudhya, Deputy Governor for International Marketing (Europe, Africa, Middle East, and Americas).
Yuthasak Supasorn, Governor of the Tourism Authority of Thailand, HE Chairat Sirivat, Consul-General of Thailand to the UAE, and Adnan Kazim, Chief Commercial Officer, Emirates were also present at the signing event.
Through the MoC, Emirates will create initiatives to increase tourism to the Kingdom by promoting it to clients across its global network. The airline will also promote the country through its network of agents in major strategic markets, as well as collaborate on joint familiarisation tours aimed at different client categories.
