Pakistan is growing in the E-commerce industry; however, many organizations including “Enablers” are creating awareness regarding the E-commerce along with the opportunities in the field.
According to the official announcement by Enablers, another huge moment for Pakistan has been recorded where the team of Enablers was invited at the President House ones again where the CEO of the firm, Saqib Azhar presented the issues and obstacles regarding the E-commerce policies of Pakistan after the Pakistan’s approval on Amazon.
All the key stakeholders were also present at the President House where the core agenda and discussion regarding the main points for the betterment of Pakistanis and economy for doing business through Amazon were discussed.
Saqib Azhar highlighted the core point during the session that includes:
1) Ease in Payment Method Process
Payment method process should be easy for exports where people export a certain amount of products to the warehouse of Amazon; however, State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) requires the seller to bring back the complete amount of money within a certain limited time period which is technically impossible due to amount of burning that people do for initial inventory for their private label to rank the products.
2) Government to provide Easy Ways for Sellers to Get WeBOC Number Easily
Selling on Amazon markets require WeBOC numbers for successfully carrying out import and export operations. However, securing a WeBOC number is a hassle and also time-consuming. The Government needs to look into the matter and recommend changes on how sellers can get WeBOC numbers easily. In any case, a new system or modification for WeBOC should be implemented for facilitating sellers from Pakistan.
3) Request for Inexpensive and Timely Delivery of International Shipments via Pakistan Post
Right now it is quite expensive to ship from Pakistan via Pakistan Post so it has been recommended to facilitation required for Amazon sellers in form of subsidies and timely international deliveries from Pakistan Post for Small Packets.
4) 8% Refund should be made to Amazon Sellers on Exports from Pakistan
Amazon sellers should get rebate on Exports from Pakistan to ecommerce sellers same as B2B Exporters, Enablers recommended 8%.
5) Request to bring Paypal in Pakistan for Easy International Transactions
Initiate the process to bring PayPal in Pakistan so that sellers could get their money quickly and easily through Paypal.
6) To create a platform like Hyperwallet in order to avoid the issue of low dollar rate change
Develop own platform like Hyperwallet or initiate process to bring Pakistan into Tier 2 list of countries so Pakistani bank accounts can be accepted directly so we can avoid this low dollar rate charge by Hyperwallet.
7) Approval for Facebook Monetization in Pakistan
Initiate the process to bring Pakistan in Approved countries list for Facebook Monetization.
