Fauji Fertilizer Has Shut Down Its DAP Plant As The Market Condition Worsens

Due to the current market demand and supply conditions, Fauji Fertilizer Bin Qasim Limited (FFBL) closed its DAP plant on December 21, 2022 in order to more effectively manage its DAP stockpile.

According to the notice given to PSX, “Planned yearly maintenance activity will be carried out during the shutdown time in January 2023 to ensure reliability and sustainably safe operations at the plant.”
Additionally, based on the state of the DAP market, the DAP plant will start up when the annual maintenance is finished.

The Urea factory is still operational despite the brief closure, and FFBL plans to satisfy the country’s anticipated DAP demand, it was said.
It should be noted that FFBL primarily produces and distributes chemical fertilisers for Pakistan’s farmers and agricultural industry, and that it is the country’s sole producer of DAP and Granular Urea.
