Local media claimed Friday that the Federal Board of Revenue’s (FBR) system had ceased working after being allegedly targeted by a hack.
While efforts to resolve the issue were underway, the main website of Pakistan’s premium tax collection organisation went down.
According to reports, taxpayers had difficulty completing their taxes as a result of the outage of online services. Meanwhile, the government agency has provided visitors with another link.
FBR’s tax collecting software had already collapsed on September 30 as taxpayers attempted to file their returns on the last day.
On the search engine, the main website displayed a ‘invalid’ message. This isn’t the first time the Federal Board of Revenue’s website has gone down.
