Following the meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Organization of Islamic Conference (OIC) on Afghanistan, the federal government has decided to ban mobile services in Islamabad for three days beginning Friday (tomorrow).
Mobile services in Islamabad will be suspended from December 17 to 19, according to sources in the interior ministry, and the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has issued guidelines in this regard.
According to individuals familiar with the situation, the foreign ministry has proposed a public holiday in the federal capital on December 20 in order to facilitate the safe mobility and security of dignitaries, foreign ministers, and other visitors from a variety of Muslim and non-Muslim countries.
