Five Snapdragon 875 Phones With 100W Fast Charging Are Coming in Q1 2021: Leak

The 5nm Snapdragon 875 SoC is anticipated to be declared by Qualcomm next month. Other than incremental performance improvements, thanks to Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 5 support, it will also allow 100W fast charging on phones. In just 5 minutes, this technology is touted to charge phones from 0 to 50 percent.

Digital Chat Station has said that in Q1, 2021 alone, we will see 5 separate flagships with support for 100W fast charging. All of these will be powered by the Snapdragon 875 with Fast Charge 5 help of course.

The new Galaxy S21 phones from Samsung are supposed to be one of the first to boast 100W fast charging in 2021. It is also expected that the Xiaomi MI 11 line-up will break cover at about the same time, and as always, the OnePlus 9 will arrive in March. At the Geekbench benchmark, all these phones have already made rounds.

During Q1 next year, Chinese phone maker Meizu is also expected to launch a flagship smartphone. LG is not expected to release any flagship phones in early 2021, as the company has confirmed that it will not release any in the first year.

It is also likely, of course, that none of these brands will release quick charging phones with 100W and some other brands will instead feature them. At least Xiaomi is likely to release a phone capable of super-fast charging, if not the other ones, as it already has a few phones with the technology.

We will have to wait and see before new information is uncovered in December.
