Chairman of Senate Standing committee on commerce, Zeeshan Khanzada, emphasized that in the future, Pakistan would become a transit hub, it will provide economic integration opportunities to the whole region.
Khanzada talked to South Korean Ambassador Sang Pyo and invited South Korean companies to make joint ventures with their counterparts in Pakistan in meetings of the Pak-South Korea parliamentary friendship group. The Korean representative said that Chairman senate Muhammad Sadiq has consistently put out his support for solving the issue related to business and trade activities.
Senator Samina Mumtaz said that Pak-South Korea parliamentary friendship group would lead to more economic development while welcoming the ambassador. Both countries’ representatives agreed that better joint ventures business ventures would broaden bilateral trade cooperation in all areas.
The Parliamentary friendship group also gave suggestions regarding the trade of high-level trade delegations, bilateral exhibitions, and business-to-business meetings, which will provide very profitable business opportunities to traders and foreign investors. Moreover, they also put light on employment opportunities for unskilled and skilled labor and that before Covid-19, 10,000 Pakistani laborers were working in Korea.
