The former President of the United States is back on social media, using a platform called X, which was once known as Twitter. He was banned from Twitter before and started his own social media site called Truth Social.
He didn’t want to come back when Twitter was still called Twitter, even though Elon Musk offered him to. But now, he’s back on X.
The former President shared a link to his website and a picture of him getting arrested. He said “Never surrender!” He came back to X after talking to Tucker Carlson, who used to be on Fox News and now is on X. This happened at the same time as other Republican presidential candidates were having a debate.
Elon Musk asked people on X if they want the former President to come back. About 15 million people voted, and most of them said yes. Elon Musk said that the people want him back, so he’s back.
As soon as the vote was over, Elon Musk let the former President use his Twitter account again. He said, “The people have spoken. Trump will be back.”
The former President’s Twitter was stopped because he said things that supported the riots at the US Capitol in January 2021. The person in charge of Twitter at that time, Jack Dorsey, stopped his account because he broke the rules, especially the rule about being honest and fair.
