Free Parking Announced in Dubai During Ramadan

Dubai’s Roads & Transport Authority (RTA) has declared that parking in Dubai will be free during Eid Al Fitr. Additionally, the transport authority has announced changes to Dubai’s public transport timings, RTA Customer Happiness Centres, and service providers.

Parking Details

  • Free parking in Dubai will be available from 29 Ramadan until 3 Shawwal.
  • Note that this free parking does not apply to multi-storey parking.
  • Regular parking fees will resume on 4 Shawwal.

Public Transportation Changes

  • Dubai Metro: The Red Line and Green Line will operate as follows:
  • Thursday, April 20 to Saturday, April 22: 5am to 1am (the following day)
  • Sunday, April 23: 8am to 1am (the following day)
  • Dubai Tram: The timings for the Dubai Tram will be:
  • Thursday, April 20 to Saturday, April 22: 6am to 1am (the following day)
  • Sunday, April 23: 9am to 1am (the following day)
  • Dubai Bus: The timings for Dubai Metro’s feeder bus services will match the metro timings.

Intercity Buses

  • Intercity buses in operation include routes to Hatta, Abu Dhabi, Al Mussafah, Al Ain, Sharjah, Ajman, and Fujairah.

RTA Centres

  • RTA Customer Happiness Centres will be closed during Eid holidays from 29 Ramadan to 3 Shawwal. Normal operations will resume on 4 Shawwal.
  • Smart customer happiness centres at various locations will operate 24/7.

Service Providers

  • Vehicle testing service providers will also be closed during Eid from 29 Ramadan to 3 Shawwal. Operations will resume on 4 Shawwal.
