From Being Dropped From Karachi Kings to Leading his Team Multan Sultan in Third Consecutive Final of PSL

Since becoming Multan Sultans’ (Multan Sultans’) captain in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) in 2021, Muhammad Rizwan has improved the team’s fortunes.

Shan Masood was replaced as the Sultans’ new captain in 2021 by Rizwan. He helped them win their first PSL championship in the same year by defeating Peshawar Zalmi in the final.

From being dropped by the Karachi Kings because he doesn’t fit in our lineup and can’t hit sixes to leading his team Multan Sultan in the third consecutive final of the PSL, Multan Sultans secured their place in the Pakistan Super League final as they thrashed defending champion Lahore Qalandars by 84 runs in Lahore.

In yet another Pakistan Super League (PSL) 8 cliffhanger, the Multan Sultans narrowly defeated Karachi Kings by three runs on Wednesday to pull off a last-ball victory, with Muhammad Rizwan’s maiden PSL century the highlight of the night.

It is a third consecutive PSL final for Multan, who will play the winners of that second eliminator. Moreover, Lahore will face the winners of Thursday’s game between Peshawar Zalmi and Islamabad United in the final on Sunday, March 19.
