Recently, Chief Secretary Gilgit-Baltistan Mohyuddin Ahmad Wani stated that the Gilgit-Baltistan started a “School Meals” programme with the association of private sector which would soon be extended to the whole region.
This initiate was much needed at such hard time as most people belongs to the middle class and it’s hard to meet the both ends. Programme would help to ease the financial burden.
The programme has been extended to the special education schools in order to ensure the balanced diet of the students with disabilities and improve their health.
In order to meet the nutritional needs of school going children and to make them healthy enough to participate in daily activities.
