Government Announces Prime Minister’s Laptop Scheme for Schools

The laptop program for school students is being re-started. Federal Planning Minister Ahsan Iqbal said that students are also getting laptops in installments at a press conference.

Speaking to the media in Islamabad, Ahsan Iqbal said that the PSDP has set up various programs for young people, will provide laptops based on merit, and expand the vocational training program network to the whole country.

The federal government decided to extend the Prime Minister’s laptop program to schools. As part of the program, talented students who enroll receive free laptops.

In this regard, PM Shehbaz Sharif has instructed the relevant authorities to take the necessary measures as soon as possible. Federal Planning Minister Ahsan Iqbal said that a meeting of the Annual Plan Coordination Committee was held today to prepare the Public Sector Development Program (PSDP) recommendations for the next fiscal year. It suggested carrying Rs. 800 billion.

He said we would empower youth to meet cyber security challenges and provide subsidized laptops to all students. The treasury is empty.
