Government Increases 20% Salary of Federal Employees

The federal government of Pakistan has recently decided to increase the salaries of employees of the Federal Government by 20%; however, it happened as a result of a successful round of talks that was between the government party and protesting party.

According to the reports, these talks held at Pervez Khattak’s house, the Federal Minister for Defence where the delegation of employees of the government were assured of a 20% increase in their current salaries and it was decided to release employees who had arrested during a clash with the police.

Government was represented by Pervez Khattak, Sheikh Rasheed and the Minister of State for the Parliamentary Affairs, Mr. Ali Muhammad Khan during the talks.

The employees of federal government from Grade 1 to Grade16 were protesting for a rise in their salaries where they gathered in Islamabad by following their leader.

The protestors decided to move forward from Pakistan Secretariat to the Parliament House. This move also met with a tear gas shelling that was by the police. But in the end there demands were fulfilled by the government to increase their salaries.
