Governor of Sindh, Kamran Tessori, honored Pakistan’s national blind cricket team by awarding them a cash prize of PKR 500,000 to celebrate their incredible victory in the Blind T20 World Cup. The special ceremony took place at the Governor House, where the team’s historic achievement was recognized and applauded.
During his speech, Governor Tessori referred to the players as national heroes and commended their hard work, dedication, and resilience in making Pakistan proud. He also announced that he would approach the Sindh Government to secure an additional PKR 500,000 for each player as a further reward for their exceptional performance.
Last month, Pakistan’s blind cricket team made history by winning their first-ever Blind T20 World Cup title. They achieved this milestone with an outstanding performance in the final, defeating Bangladesh by 10 wickets. With this victory, Pakistan became only the second team to win this prestigious championship.
The event highlighted the importance of supporting and celebrating the achievements of differently-abled athletes who continue to inspire millions across the country.
