During a ceremony held at Governor House Peshawar on Pakistan Day, NoorDin Elias, affectionately known as Chacha, received the Presidential Award for Excellence.
The event celebrated individuals from various fields, including government officials, doctors, and professors, acknowledging their remarkable contributions to society. Among them was NoorDin Elias, recognized for his exceptional skills in making slippers.
Chacha, as he is fondly called, is well-known for his craftsmanship in slipper-making. He gained widespread recognition for presenting a pair of slippers, known as the captain’s slippers, to former Prime Minister Imran Khan, who is also the founder of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party.
