Govt to Hire Consultant to Bring Elon Musk’s Starlink in Pakistan

On January 6, 2025, Minister Shaza Fatima Khawaja led an important meeting to discuss the licensing and regulatory frameworks for Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellites, including those operated by Starlink. The meeting brought together key representatives from the Ministry of IT & Telecom, SUPARCO, and the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA).

The discussions emphasized the urgency of speeding up the process of hiring consultants to finalize the regulations needed for these advanced satellite systems.
