Govt to Set up Freelance IT Hub in Rawalpindi

Commissioner Capt (retd) Muhammad Mehmood of Rawalpindi said a four-kanal freelance IT hub has been built behind Moti Mahal Cinema on Murree Road to promote information technology and provide job opportunities for young people. It will provide companies and individuals in the IT sector with access to state-of-the-art buildings where they can set up offices with new facilities.

He confirmed that the structure had already been completed and that the auction will take place on March 10.

He made these statements while chairing a meeting to discuss the freelance IT center and other initiatives. Chief Metropolitan Officer Ali Abbas Bukhari and other officials were among those who attended the meeting.

He added that the freelance IT hub has 1,700 square feet of working space, as well as four meeting rooms, two community discussion rooms, a day care center, and a cafeteria.

He further said that there was also space for a restaurant on the 7,500-square-foot rooftop of the freelance center, which also has parking for 40 cars. The building’s access was quick and convenient.
