The Green Line Bus Rapid Transit service opened to the public today (Saturday), nearly six years after its inception in the country’s financial centre.
According to local media reports, approximately 25 out of 80 buses would shuttle between Surjani Town and Numaish Chowrangi, with one side trip costing between Rs15 and Rs55.
According to accounts, passengers had difficulty on the first day of the launch due to faulty arrangements at the bus stops.
Asad Umar, Minister for Planning and Special Initiatives, tweeted that the first bus had left Abdullah Chowk station carrying passengers. He wrote that starting today, the eleven stations will have a four-hour service from 8 a.m. to 12 a.m.
