On Monday, the Chairperson of China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) Authority Lt. General (retd) Asim Saleem Bajwa, while speaking to media said that Gwadar port has been made completely operational & now online booking for delivery of goods can also be made.
Senate Chairman Sadiq Sanjrani, Balochistan Chief Minister Jam Kamal Alyani, Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi, & Planning and Development Minister Asad Umar were also in present at the event.
Asim Saleem Bajwa further shared that during the past 3 years about 12,000 jobs have been provided in Gwadar.
He further stated that the construction of Gwadar Airport is also in a full shift as well as the project of Gwadar City has been approved to & a hospital is also going to build in Gwadar with the help of China.
While addressing a conference in Gwadar, chairperson CPEC Authority told the media that the work on Phase-II of Gwadar Free Zone is in progress and it has also sped up other projects linked to Gwadar Port in the last 2 and a half years.
He said Prime Minister Imran Khan’s personal stake in this cemented the way and we achieved this milestone.
He expressed his appreciation to the prime minister for personally overseeing the CPEC & also paid homage to the security forces for maintaining law & order and delivering sacrifices in the line of their duty.
