According to the sources, the personal data of more than 1.7 million users of most popular dating apps of Japan is at risk as it may have been exposed by the hack.
The Omiai app is operational by the Net Marketing Co. that has detected an unauthorized access in the April to server that stores the information of the members.
However, the company said that “We have learnt that some members’ information was leaked due to an unauthorized access.”
The company also added that Images of the passports and driving licenses that had been submitted for the age verification were also among the data that compromised between the periods of April 20-26.
