The process of bringing Pakistani pilgrims back home after Hajj has officially started. The first flight carrying 114 pilgrims from Jeddah landed at Islamabad International Airport.
Airport staff warmly welcomed the returning pilgrims as they arrived after completing their spiritual journey in Saudi Arabia. Many pilgrims expressed relief and happiness on reaching home safely after performing Hajj rituals.
Officials confirmed that the post-Hajj flight operation will continue until June 30. During this period, thousands of pilgrims will return to Pakistan in stages from both Jeddah and Madinah.
Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) is playing a key role in the operation. The airline will operate more than 200 special flights to bring pilgrims back to different cities across the country.
These flights are scheduled from Jeddah and Madinah and will connect major cities in Pakistan, ensuring smooth travel arrangements for returning pilgrims.
In total, more than 53,000 Pakistani pilgrims are expected to return home through this organized flight operation.
Airport authorities and staff have made special arrangements to handle the large number of passengers, including assistance at arrival points and smooth immigration procedures.
Families of pilgrims are also expected to gather at airports across the country to welcome their loved ones after the completion of Hajj.
The return operation is considered one of the largest annual flight movements for Pakistan, requiring careful planning and coordination between aviation authorities and airlines.
Officials have said that the process is being managed in an organized manner to ensure comfort, safety, and timely travel for all pilgrims as they return to their homes after completing their religious duty.
