Eligibility criteria
The eligibility criteria for istiqdam process are mentioned below.
- The applicants must have a profession.
- The minimum required salary for permanent family visa as given by the GOSI certification is SR 3500.
- To apply for a family visa, the iqama validity must be less than 3 months.
- The visa can only be applied for a wife and children under 18 years of age.
- The family visa is only acceptable for one wife.
- The permanent family visa cannot be granted for the parents.
Payment
The application fee for istiqdam process is SR 2000. Government job holders are excluded from payment of fees.
Online Application of Permanent Family Visa
This facility is provided only to the applicants belonging to doctors registered at Saudi Commission for Health Specialties, accountants registered at SOCPA, and engineers registered at Saudi Council of Engineers.
How to Apply
The procedure is mentioned below.
- Open the website of Absher system and press ‘My services’ tab.
- Now find and press ‘Expatriate services’.
- Now click on the ‘New family visa application’ option and read the instructions.
- A new page will open containing all the information from name and passport number to the details of your sponsor. Make sure to review the details are correct.
- Now press ‘Apply for family visa’.
- If you are found eligible for the application, you will be asked to put in the information about education level, major subjects, salary, and date of latest degree obtained.
- Next you have to fill in the number of family members, age, religion, port of boarding, and other related details.
- Now submit the application.
In order to change your status to be approved, take a printout of the application form and submit it to HR of your company. Your HR officer will then enter the order number on to the ministry of Interior Website and authenticate the application.
They will also receive a confirmation message from MOI and applicant receives the visa number from Absher. The status will be approved. Now the applicant has to submit the documentation to the home country for visa processing.
