Alter and Future Fest Partner to Present Metaverse art experience Hum on January 6,7,8 at Expo Center Lahore

Alter and Future Fest team up to present an unforgettable exhibition featuring some of the world’s most innovative and boundary-pushing artists.

The metaverse art experience titled HUM will showcase a range of media, including digital art, moving images, and installations.

Through its exploration of the multifaceted meanings of the word “hum”, the exhibition highlights the importance of unity and connection in contemporary society. It serves as a reminder of the power of creation and the role it plays in building connections with others, particularly in a time of increasing isolation and polarization.

It aims to explore the evolving landscape of the art world, particularly the use of new media such as NFTs, Web3, and the Metaverse, and the impact they have on the way art is created, exhibited and collected.

From the path-breaking works of Orkhan and Saks Afridi to the diaspora-rooted but future-focused practices of Rayan Elnayal and Mustaali Raj to the genre-defying works of İdil Dursun, Matt Wilson, INFINITEYAY and Mahnaji, this exhibition has something for everyone. Additionally, the show features the innovative works of Muhammad Nafay, Makam, Amrit Pal Singh, and Brice Duncan, as well as the boundary-pushing photography of daredevil photographer Mahnaji.

“I am thrilled to be able to bring together such a talented and global group of artists for this show,” says Zain Naqvi, the show’s curator and the Co-Founder of Alter.

“This diverse selection of visual innovators truly represents the decentralized nature of the metaverse where creators coming from the most fringe geographical location can create an enormous impact on the creation and dissemination of art, storytelling, and culture itself. Given that we are going through a time of polarization, this exhibition seeks to do the very opposite, it aims to celebrate the communal hum. I am super excited to see the impact these works will have on the local art, culture, and tech zeitgeist”

Don’t miss out on this opportunity to see some of the most exciting and innovative art being created today. Hum takes place on the 6th, 7th, and 8th of January at Expo Centre Lahore.
