‘I make sure Pakistan flags are planted into the ground during practice sessions to motivate players, to give the players a sense of feeling that they have the honour of representing their country on a world stage’: Saqlain Mushtaq

Pakistan’s cricket team has made a strong start to the T20 World Cup 2021, winning their first two matches against giants India and New Zealand.

Despite the fact that Pakistan has won its two most vital group-stage matches, coach Saqlain Mushtaq has taken an unusual step to ensure that his players do not let up.

Meanwhile, Pakistan coach Saqlain Mushtaq has devised a unique technique to keep his players engaged and energized. During practise sessions, the veteran has ensured that Pakistan’s national flag is planted on the ground.

Mushtaq, a former off-spinner, wants the players to understand how honoured they are to serve their country on the international scene.

At Sharjah, the Men in Green ran into several difficulties against New Zealand. Asif Ali and Shoaib Malik, on the other hand, kept their cool to help the team cross the finish line. Mushtaq was pleased with the players’ efforts after the victories.

“The boys gave everything they had in the first two games. We have to take the confidence and belief we gained from those two matches forward, “Saqlain was reported as saying to reporters.
