ICC announces Champions Trophy 2025’s trophy tour schedule

The International Cricket Council (ICC) has officially announced the schedule for the Champions Trophy 2025 trophy tour, which kicked off today, November 16, from Islamabad. This highly anticipated event features legendary Pakistani pacer Shoaib Akhtar accompanying the trophy during its journey across Pakistan before it embarks on an international tour.

Highlights of the Pakistan Leg

The trophy’s journey in Pakistan begins with its showcase at iconic landmarks in Islamabad, including Daman-e-Koh, Faisal Mosque, and Pakistan Monument. Over the next few days, the trophy will travel to several cities and towns:

  • November 17: Taxila and Khanpur
  • November 18: Abbottabad
  • November 19: Murree
  • November 20: Nathia Gali
  • November 22 to 25: Karachi

The Pakistan leg will conclude in Karachi before the trophy continues its global journey.

International Tour Details

Following its stay in Pakistan, the Champions Trophy 2025 silverware will begin an extensive international tour starting November 26 in Afghanistan. The schedule includes stops in all participating nations:

  • November 26-28: Afghanistan
  • December 10-13: Bangladesh
  • December 15-22: South Africa
  • December 25-January 5: Australia
  • January 6-11: New Zealand
  • January 12-14: England
  • January 15-26: India

The tour will conclude in India before returning to Pakistan, the host country and defending champion, for the tournament’s commencement on January 27.

Anurag Dahiya, ICC Chief Commercial Officer, expressed his excitement about the initiative, saying, “We are delighted to launch the Trophy Tour with DP World ahead of the ICC Men’s Champions Trophy.
