Babar Azam has retained his top spot after beating the ODI series against Australia. In contrast, ImamulHaq has climbed several positions to reach No. 3 in the latest ICC-ODI Men’s Players’ Ranking.
South Africa captain Dean Elgar is one of the players who have moved up a few places in the latest ICC men’s test player rankings after beating two and a half centuries in the first Test against Bangladesh.
Elgar’s scores of 67 and 64 in the Opening Test have moved him up three spots to 13th. Another star of the game was Mahmudul Hasan Joy, the first Bangladeshi batsman to score a Test century against South Africa. His first century in just his third Test helped him jump thirty-seven places to No. 66.
Meanwhile, the list of top 10 batsmen has remained unchanged. Australia’s Marnus Labuschagne remains at the top, followed by his compatriot Steve Smith and New Zealand captain Kane Williamson in third place.
Australian captain Pat Cummins still tops the list on the bowling charts, followed by Indian duo Ravichandran Ashwin in second place and Jasprit Bumrah in third place. He now sits at No. 4, along with Shaheen Afridi, who made a one-point jump.
