Imran Khan, the Prime Minister of Pakistan highlighted regarding the Senate elections that held recently on March 3rd, 2021 that these seemed to be unfair and also claimed that the money was used as to buy as well as sell the votes during the polls of Senate.
Prime Minister aims to establish an e-voting system that is similarly used in United States of America as to ensure the electoral transparency through electronic means in the country.
However, by gaining the vote of confidence within Pakistan, premier remarked that new system will offer a voting right to the overseas Pakistanis as through electoral reforms textbooks.
PM also declared that, “Pakistan will also put in a place as of same system in order to ensure a fair and transparent poll in the country.
The government will also introduce the electoral reforms and Electronic Voting Machines as to ensure the fair as well as transparent elections in Pakistan.”
Moreover, it was also stated that the EVM- Electronic Voting Machine system would also enable Pakistanis living abroad as to vote in the elections where the modern technological system will make the process of elections transparent.
