As per Taste Atlas, Ras Malai, a much-loved Indian sweet that hails from West Bengal, has secured the second position in the list of the ’10 Best Cheese Desserts’ globally.
This delightful dessert is famous for its soft and fluffy texture. It is made using a special kind of fresh cheese called ‘chhena,’ which is created from milk, lemon juice, and water.
After making the chhena, it is cooked in a sugary syrup and then soaked in ‘rabdi,’ which is a sweet milk syrup flavored with cardamom. Finally, it’s garnished with finely chopped almonds and pistachios to make it even more delicious.
