A fire broke out at the doctors’ hostel located on the top floor of Lahore’s Children’s Hospital after a short circuit reportedly occurred in an AC power plug. The incident caused smoke to spread through parts of the facility, creating panic among staff and other people present at the hospital.
Hospital staff responded quickly and managed to contain the fire before it could spread further. Officials confirmed that no casualties were reported in the incident, while the situation was brought under control without major damage being reported.
The incident comes just days after another fire was reported at the same building on September 17, 2026, when an emergency elevator caught fire and smoke spread through the facility.
