A two-day extensive meeting between International Cricket Council and Pakistan Cricket Board came to an end where several significant decisions were made. The meeting was led by esteemed officials including Greg Barclay, ICC Chairman, and Geoff Allardice, the Chief Executive.
As per the details, ICC has shared a new revenue model for the period of 2024 – 2027, the voting for the new model will take place in the next meeting. According to this new model, Australia and England would claim 6.25% and 6.89%, India would get 38.5%, while Pakistan would receive 5.75% of the earnings. PCB claimed a raise in share as match between Pakistan and India brings the biggest share.
PCB also informed ICC that Pakistan will be part of upcoming Asia World Cup which is scheduled to take place in India and put forward the request of cooperation from India if Pakistan’s team travel to the neighboring country for World Cup. PCB emphasized that this matter needs open discussion.
In addition, PCB also shared the preparations for 2025 championship which is hoped to take place in Pakistan as well as briefed ICC about the women’s league 2023.
After the conference, ICC delegation paid a visit to National Cricket Academy Museum as well as Safe City Project. ICC officials also cooperated with PCB ensuring that a neutral way will be decided to ensure Pakistan and India participation as well as an upsurge in financial model will be decided.
