Internet Services Disrupted in Pakistan, Users Struggle with Slow Speeds

Internet users in several cities across Pakistan have been facing slow internet speeds, making it difficult to access online platforms and services. This disruption has particularly affected activities like browsing the web and uploading or downloading media, including images, videos, and voice notes. As a result, users have struggled to complete their daily online tasks.

Businesses that rely on a stable internet connection have been hit the hardest, facing difficulties in carrying out their operations.

The issue was confirmed by Downdetector, which reported a sharp increase in outages for popular platforms such as WhatsApp, Gmail, Instagram, and TikTok at around 11am on December 1, 2024.

While internet disruptions are not uncommon in Pakistan, there has been an increase in the frequency of these outages in recent months, leading to growing concern among users. Many people rely on the internet for work, communication, and entertainment, so ongoing disruptions have caused frustration and inconvenience.

This situation has raised questions about the reliability of internet services in the country and the impact of these disruptions on both individual users and businesses. People are hoping that these issues will be addressed soon to restore smooth internet access for everyone.
