Iran has Open Window for Negotiation Table, US Secretary of W@r

Pete Hegseth stated that Iran still has an opportunity to return to negotiations if it agrees to clear, verifiable limits on its nuclear program. He emphasized that any potential deal would require strict monitoring and transparency to ensure compliance, suggesting that while tensions are high, diplomatic options have not been completely ruled out.

He also pointed out that the US-led blockade targeting Iranian ports is expanding beyond the immediate region, with reports confirming the recent seizure of two vessels. According to him, these measures are part of a broader effort to increase pressure on Iran and restrict activities seen as destabilizing, though such actions may further strain relations.

At the same time, Donald Trump has reportedly authorized military responses to threats in the Strait of Hormuz, including actions against mine-laying operations and attacks on commercial shipping. Despite these developments, some maritime traffic continues to pass through the strategic route, although under heightened risk and security concerns.

Iran has strongly criticized the blockade, labeling it provocative and unlawful, while negotiations remain stalled with no clear progress. The situation reflects growing geopolitical tension, as increased military presence, economic pressure, and diplomatic deadlock continue to raise concerns about stability and security in one of the world’s most vital shipping corridors.
