Following in the footsteps of the Chinese, a Japanese citizen arrived in Karachi’s Orangi Town on Monday, mistaking it for a tourist destination while touring Sindh.
Tamazaki Takioya has been touring various regions of Sindh for the past two days and was recently captured by police during a snap check in the area.
According to police, the Japanese citizen was stopped by a police team who suspected him of being a Bengali national during a snap check in the region.
Takioya notified the police about his credentials throughout the procedure, and he was afterwards taken into protective custody and transferred to the office of SSP Suhai Aziz.
The police afterwards transferred him to the Foreign Security Cell. It has been learned that this is the Japanese national’s 104th visit to Pakistan, and he is on a tour around the world.
